Program History for AMIPopUp by Sascha 'SieGeL' Pfalz
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
V1.0ß (09.06.98) - First complete version, MUI driven, allows sending
of mails via SMBClient and receiving via PrepMail.
All functions working as expected here.
V1.1ß (15.06.98) - Next update - First Public Release.
+Added MUI Config/About MUI menu entries.
*SUGGESTION FROM DAVID 'STRIDER' WETTIG:
Whenever an error occures while writing a mail, AMIPopUp
won't close the window after showing the reason of the
error, so it is possible to change your mistakes.
V1.2 (03.08.98) - Next Update
*SUGGESTION FROM FREDRIK BERSTROM:
Added new Menuentry when writing a mail allowing to
copy a text from Clipboard as message. Just select the
menuentry and any clipboard contents will be inserted.
(11.08.98) *SUGGESTION FROM FREDRIK BERSTROM:
Added Menuentry Current Message... in Main window which
allows to copy the current shown message to clipboard.
-Fixed the behavour when starting AmiPopUp two times. It
will now pop-up the already running copy and activates
the window instead of writing an error-message.
(13.08.98) *SUGGESTION FROM FREDRIK BERSTROM:
When a message is shown in the main window and you press
Send, AMIPopUp will then copy the name of the host as
shown in the current message to the reciever field of
the send window.
*SUGGESTION FROM FREDRIK BERSTROM:
Changed (or tried to change) the TAB Cycling Order of
the Send Window, however it seems that MUI has a Problem
with setting the Cycle Chain order in a different way
than the GUI was built, so if you use TAB, always the
buttons will be selected first before MUI activates the
Message field. But you can now use the Enter Key when
entered a HOstname, in this case MUI allows to activate
the Message field automatically...I don't understand why
but that's the way it goes...
V1.3 (07.10.98) - Next Update
*SUGGESTION FROM DÁMASO DOMÍNGUEZ:
Changed the usage of keyboard shortcuts. I've written
a function which determines itself the hotkeys, so
regardless of which language AmiPopUp should be using
now always visible and possible Hotkeys.
-BUGREPORT FROM MATTIAS ANDERSSON:
Special characters like german umlauts won't be
translated which results in some garbage shown either on
the Windows Peces or on Amiga. After fiddling around with
the Samba Source codes I've found the solution and now all
outgoing messages are converted to DOS character mode
while all incomming messages are translated back to UNIX
character mode preventing now (hopefully) the garbage on
screen. Because of rewriting the sending of a mail I had
to change the .cd and .ct files, please see as usual at
the end of these files for the latest additions!
V1.31 (12.10.98) *SUGGESTION FROM MATTIAS ANDERSSON:
AMIPopUp has now the possibility to play a sound when
a new message arrive. Just view Configuration window and
enter a valid CLI command in the string gadget. This
command will be executed everytime a new mail arrives.
+Added support for Help Key. To activate this feature,
copy the amigaguide file in AMIPopUp's dir under name
'AMIPopUp.guide'...but it's not required for operation
of course.
V1.32 (21.10.98) +Added OpenURL.library support. This results in a new
About window. Whenever the library is available on your
system, the URL shown in the About window is clickable
and will start the defined browser.
+Changed Statusline to MUI's InfoText display. Looks
muuuch better ;)
V1.33 (10.11.98) -BUGREPORT FROM WOJCIECH KOCJAN:
AmiPopUp should always popup the newest mail which
arrives...instead it always showed the current message
like WinPopUp does, but I never wanted this behavour ;)
AmiPopUp jumps now automatically to the newest mail.
+If OpenURL.library is not available AmiPopUp displays
a requester to inform the user about the missing lib
whenever he clicks on the URL in the About window. During
these changes I also changed the layout of the About win.
*SUGGESTION FROM WOJCIECH KOCJAN:
AmiPopUp uses now it's own program icon when iconifying
it.
*SUGGESTION FROM WOJCIECH KOCJAN:
Added new Option: 'Store sent messages' , allowing
to save all outgoing mails local on HD. Select the
according checkmark from the Options window and enter a
path where the mails should be stored, but DON'T USE the
same mailpath for this! AmiPopUp will then save all out-
going mails to this dir after successfully sending them
via SMBClient.
V1.34 (12.11.98) +Added PopUp list for Hosts in Send Window. This list will
be filled automatically whenever a new host is entered and
the according message could be sent successfully. The list
of hosts will be saved as PROGDIR:.hostlist.
+Polish catalog from WOJCIECH KOCJAN added, thanks !
Also added list of translators to about window.
